1. Who this is between

These terms cover your use of fernlantern.com ("Fernlantern", "we", "us"). Confirming you are 18 or over and using the site means you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

2. Who may use it

Fernlantern is for adults aged 18 or over, and using it confirms that you are. We may restrict access where we reasonably believe otherwise. The site is intended for users in the United Kingdom; if you use it elsewhere, local law is your responsibility.

3. Coins have no value

• Every game uses virtual coins given to you free of charge.
• Coins have no monetary value and are not currency, credit, property, a prize or a right.
• They cannot be bought, sold, withdrawn, transferred, exchanged or redeemed for money, goods, services, entries or anything else of value, here or anywhere else.
• No prize or item of value is offered or awarded on this site.
• We may add, adjust, reset or remove coins, balances, levels and features at any time.

4. There is no account

Balance, level and statistics live in your browser's local storage. Clearing browser data deletes them for good. We keep no copy and cannot restore anything. See the Privacy Policy.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• offer to buy, sell or trade coins, or claim you can;
• use bots or automation against the site, or try to disrupt or overload it;
• modify the client code and pass the result off as Fernlantern, or misrepresent outcomes to others;
• use the site unlawfully, or allow anyone under 18 to use it.

Reading the client-side code is fine and encouraged. We publish it deliberately.

6. Availability

The site is provided "as is" and "as available". We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it at any time without notice. A malfunction voids all plays and pays; coins have no value, so nothing is owed in either direction.

7. Intellectual property

The Fernlantern name, branding, game design, artwork and written content belong to us or are licensed to us. Do not reproduce or redistribute them commercially without permission.

8. Links out

We link to independent gambling-support organisations for your benefit. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content. We carry no gambling advertising and no affiliate links.

9. Liability

Nothing here excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, and because the service is free with nothing of value at stake, we exclude liability for loss of coins, balances, levels, progress or data, and for indirect or consequential loss. Your statutory rights as a consumer are unaffected.

10. Governing law

The law of England and Wales governs these terms and its courts have exclusive jurisdiction, except that residents of Scotland or Northern Ireland may also bring proceedings locally.

We may update these terms. The version on this page applies and the date above shows when it last changed.
